Brandon McClelland
Serving ages 6+ for individual & group therapy

M.A., Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
Brandon works with clients experiencing anxiety, OCD and intrusive thoughts, panic, social anxiety, rumination, perfectionism, emotional regulation challenges, neurodivergence, school-related anxiety, childhood trauma, depression, adjustment concerns, and life transitions. He also works with family accommodation patterns, anxious attachment, rejection sensitivity, and the unique concerns children, teens, and young adults may experience as they grow and develop.
Before entering the counseling field, Brandon spent seven years working in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). That experience gave him a strong foundation for understanding how behavior can be influenced by environment, learning history, emotional development, and cognitive processes. Today, he incorporates evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and play-informed techniques to help clients better understand themselves and develop practical skills for meaningful change.
My Style
My counseling style is calm, relational, collaborative, and practical. I believe therapy works best when you feel heard, respected, and comfortable enough to be honest about what you are experiencing.
I take time to understand not only what is happening, but what may be driving the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors underneath it. Together, we can build greater awareness, develop useful coping strategies, and find tools that make sense for your everyday life. I value compassion, humor when appropriate, and creating a therapeutic relationship where you feel supported while
still being encouraged to grow.

My Why
My interest in counseling grew from wanting to understand more than simply what someone was doing. During my seven years working in Applied Behavior Analysis, I became increasingly interested in why people behave the way they do and how behavior connects with emotions, thoughts, experiences, relationships, and the environments around us.
That perspective continues to shape the way I work today. Whether a child is struggling to communicate big emotions, a teenager feels overwhelmed by anxiety, or a young adult is unsure of what comes next, I want therapy to be a place where they can better understand themselves rather than feel defined by a behavior or diagnosis.
For me, meaningful change begins with feeling understood. My goal is to create the kind of relationship where clients feel safe enough to be themselves, supported enough to try something new, and increasingly confident in their ability to move forward.
