Student Counselor Intern
Caitlan works with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, major life transitions, emotional overwhelm, identity concerns, low self-worth, relationship and boundary challenges, eating disorder recovery, and body image concerns. She also provides LGBTQIA+ affirming care and supports clients who may not know exactly what they want to work on but recognize that something in their life no longer feels right.
Before beginning her clinical counseling training, Caitlan gained extensive experience in healthcare and behavioral health settings, including crisis intervention, suicide prevention, inpatient psychiatric care, eating disorder treatment, and telehealth. These experiences strengthened her ability to remain calm and present during difficult conversations and shaped her trauma-informed, person-centered approach to counseling.
My Style
My style is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and person-centered. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and therapy works best when it feels like something we are doing together rather than something being done to you.
You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what you want to talk about. We can start wherever you are and work together to understand the experiences, emotions, and patterns that may be affecting you today.
Our work may include building coping skills, strengthening emotional regulation, improving relationships and boundaries, and developing a stronger sense of self. Most importantly, therapy will move at a pace that respects what you are ready for.

Therapeutic Approaches
My Why
Before becoming a counselor, I worked in healthcare and behavioral health settings where I supported people during some of the most vulnerable and overwhelming moments of their lives. My experience included crisis intervention, suicide prevention, inpatient psychiatric care, eating disorder treatment, and telehealth.
Those experiences taught me how important it is to remain calm, present, and curious when someone is struggling. They also showed me that people are much more than the symptoms or circumstances that bring them into care.
That perspective continues to shape the way I approach therapy today. I want to understand the whole person—the experiences that shaped you, the ways you learned to cope, the relationships that matter to you, and the person you want to become. My goal is to create a space where you can feel safe enough to explore what matters without needing to have everything figured out first.
